Office of PFT Treasurer (Exec Board)
(A Prerequisite for all PFT positions is full dues paying membership in PFT)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The TREASURER shall receive, record and deposit all monies in the name of PFT. Keep adequate records available for the Representative Council, Executive Council, and assist the independent auditor and keep the general Membership apprised of PFT’s financial position by means of periodic reports to the Executive Council, Representative Council and Membership. The treasurer shall pay all bills authorized by the budget, retaining a voucher or invoice for each. Bills not authorized by the budget must be approved by the Representative Council for authorization to pay. Additionally, keep and maintain a current, complete, and accurate list of Members and be cognizant of and abide by the financial agreements that PFT maintains with its affiliates and other organizations. The treasurer shall assist with the PFT audit as specified in Article III, section 8.4.
OTHER DUTIES:
• Attend weekly 2 hr. PFT Exec Board meetings • Attend monthly 2 hr. PFT Rep Council • Be first line of communication to members to answer questions about the PFT budget • Work with PFT President, Directors and Vice Presidents to ensure communication with PFT members • Visit sites as needed to connect with members
COMPENSATION:
The PFT Treasurer is elected by the PFT membership and serves a one year term. Compensation for duties listed above and attendance of PFT Exec Board and Rep Council meetings is $5000.00.
